SUMMARY Plans and executes inventory cycle counts, analyze inventory errors, reconciles differences, and recommends system changes to prevent future discrepancies.
Input transactions into MAPICS to correct inventory errors, record scrap, and inventory movement through various warehouses.
Assist other departments in locating and counting inventory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:
Cycle Counting Plan and execute cycle count of inventory in production stores, backflush, and shipping warehouse locations.
Research and adjust discrepancies between actual count and perpetual inventory for areas cycle counted.
Record cycle count findings and input inventory corrections.
Recommend changes that could prevent future discrepancies.
Work with department supervisors and managers to maintain perpetual inventory integrity.
Locate and facilitate the disposal of obsolete, non-conforming, or defective materials as management directs.
Input the proper inventory transactions into MAPICS for these activities.
Input inventory scrap transactions.
Research, identify root causes, obtain proper signatures, and adjust for errors caused by improper or inaccurate inventory transactions.
Research identifies root cause, obtain proper signatures, and adjust for errors between various warehouses in MAPICS.
Input transactions to correctly record inventory movement within Bennettsville warehouses, In Transit, and outside consignment warehouses.
Recommend changes that could prevent future discrepancies Qualifications include:
Must be self-directed and have excellent initiative and organizational skills.
Significant computer skills and knowledge of inventory transactions.
Consistently meets or exceeds commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity required.
Ability to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast-paced and demanding.
Some experience operating electric scissor lifts and willing to go up around 35' in those lifts.
Exhibits a solid ability to handle multiple demands with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy required.
Proven track record of meeting commitments with the highest standards of ethics and integrity Take charge of individuals with lots of energy and a clear sense of urgency.
An excellent team player Historically, has demonstrated an understanding of the difference between giving the best effort and doing what is necessary.
Education and
Experience:
High school graduate or equivalent.
Experience with inventory transactions and data input functions of perpetual inventory systems preferred.
