We are currently seeking a Licensed Mental Health Professional
Position Summary
Performs individual and/or group social services functions and therapeutic counseling, based on the needs of the students Counseling needs include substance abuse, anger counseling, and family counseling at an advanced level. Responsible for overseeing the mental health services provided to youth; case treatment oversight and training in case treatment. Responsibilities also include handling adolescent mental health issues for program team members; and crisis counseling situations for the program. Responsible for maintaining case treatment documentation to the most current auditing standards. Other responsibilities include completion of complex psychosocial assessments, treatment team participation, treatment planning/monitoring and discharge planning. May supervise professional and/or para-professional social services staff.
Essential Job Functions
Counsels students on substance abuse, anger counseling and family counseling
Oversees substance/mental health services for AMIkids and their families
Reviews institutes' case treatment files and service delivery
Oversees case and ensures standardization of case management
Monitors QA standards
Provides training and development for case management staff
Organizes and provides crisis counseling
Develops partnerships with and maintain contacts with key individuals of the State Job Services, youth Services Department, local schools systems and service providers in the district.
Educates and trains managers on mental health services
Supervise and ensure the safety of students
Provides or orchestrates training in group facilitation, counseling techniques, family enhancement protocols, and any other mental health training identified.
Qualifications
Masters degree in Social Work or Counseling from a CSWE or CACREP accredited program required; licensure REQUIRED
Must hold one or more of the following certificates:
Certified Substance Abuse Counselor (CSAC), Certified Addictions Counselor (CAC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Marriage, Family and Child Counselor (MFCC), Certified Clinical Mental Health Counselor (CCMHC) or an equivalent certification with strong emphasis in community counseling.
Two (2) years experience preferred in a related field in social services delivery (case management, outreach, prevention/ education, client assessment, counseling), or the development/ implementation of treatment, rehabilitation, or service plans.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office programs (e.g. Word and Excel)
Satisfy criminal background check and drug screening as defined by state requirements.
Obtain and maintain appropriate crisis intervention and physical restraint training and certification as defined by state requirements, e.g., Protective Action Response (PAR), Nonviolent Crisis Intervention (NCI), Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), Safe Crisis Management (SCM).
Obtain and maintain current CPR and First Aid Certification by nationally recognized organization.
Possess and maintain valid driver's license in the state of employment; may be required to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with passenger and school bus endorsement.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
