QA Supervisor

Job Summary
This is a QA Supervisor position with Marley Engineered Products LLC.
The QA Supervisor develops, implements and leads quality programs, policies, and initiatives to assure compliance with requirements and continuous improvement of quality performance. This position also oversees inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established standards of strength, quality and endurance.
Lead, develop, and manage team of QA Inspectors.
Responsible for measurement and calibration, record keeping, and preventative maintenance of measuring equipment
Monitor quality errors at customer (shipping, packing, assembly, damage) and corrective actions.
Provide floor support to determine the root cause of test failures including incorrect wiring and defective components.
Define and establish internal processes and integrate these processes with our Quality Management System, software and related technologies.
Coordinate & provide training in Quality process improvements.
Create and deploy metrics for quality performance and to support the facility's goals and objectives.
Provide engineering support in investigations of customer failures including liability issues.
Ensure that line testers, operators, parts, assemblies, final assemblies, processes and procedures comply with instructions, blueprints and other company specifications. Develop and conduct audit plans.
Responsible for operating mechanical and electrical test equipment to check apparatus for conformance to standard requirements.
Make appropriate reports of parts and/or assemblies inspected and other inspection activities as directed by management.
Set up and operate direct measuring devices such as height gauges, optical comparator and hardness tester.
Perform functional line tests to determine the operating characteristics of manufactured products.
Determine if all gauges and testing equipment required are in proper operating condition.
Access Production Documentation Data Base.
Use of computer for Bill of Material information, engineering materials, and use standard hardware specifications books.
Associate's degree (AA) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in technical related field; or 5 years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience is preferred.
Experience with manufacturing processes including assembly, fabrication, powder coat paint, and electrical testing.
Proficient at the following:
Must have excellent written and oral communication skills
Ability to work with all levels of employees
Must have Strong computer skills with excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications. Able to develop summary graphs, tables, pivot tables, and other reports using PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing.
Problems solving and data analysis skills (8D, 5Y, statistics, etc.).
Preferred Quality Systems knowledge including:
PFMEA and control plans
Error-proofing (Poka-yoke)
Engineering and process conformance knowledge and experience including SWI (standard work), Testing and audit processes, and Engineering change management and support
Knowledgeable and skilled in the use of standard mechanical and electrical instruments, functional gauges and test rigs.
Leadership through teamwork as a motivational leader. Demonstrates teamwork abilities, as well as persistence when dealing with problems.
Project management skills.
Effective leader with proven ability to: develop, coach and mentor as well as terminate non-performers.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
